Geocaching again... - Custer, South Dakota

Since John and Terri were working (camphosting) today, we decided to strike out on our own again, and go geocaching. We chose three caches to find. The first one was right off one of the main roads, near the Crazy Horse Monument. It took us a while to locate the cache because the GPS was having trouble zeroing in on the exact location. I just looked for some rocks that were out of place, and viola!, there is was. The second cache was a seven mile drive down a dusty road. But the view was spectacular!
We decided to take the scenic route to the third cache. It was located down an old NFS logging road. No problem for the Jeep, but we had to stop in town to wash off all the cow poop we slung up on the side. I did not want to put the raincover on it with all the bovine aroma. Speaking of town, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is beginning this weekend and Custer is full of bikes. The city has blocked off the two center lanes for motorcycle parking. Pictures to follow...
