One cache, called the South Plateau, was a high-clearance, 4x4 trail. This trail allowed our Jeep to stretch its legs. It rained on us on the way up, but quit about the time we arrived at the summit. At the top, about 7,500', was a great view of West Yellowstone and the surrounding area.
The final cache for the day was a point overlooking Hebgen Lake. The road (trail) was also a high-clearance road, but did not require 4x4. From this point was a 360 degree view of the lake and mountains of the Continental Divide. The lake was pretty quiet, except for a few ducks. On the way down, I stopped to take pictures of three kayakers.

I stayed up late (1:00am), playing around with our new GPSr...a Garmin Dakota 20. This touchscreen unit will allow us to geocache without having to print out the descriptions of the caches. All the information is downloadable and viewable on the unit.
