Things are winding down here at the park. A number of residents are leaving this week, including our friends, Jerry and Charlene. It has been a good winter with plenty of activities, meeting new friends, and enjoying good weather. We plan on leaving April 1st and spend a couple of weeks in Bastrop, visiting kids, grandkids, and family. We need to be in Smith Center, KS on the 20th for repairs and adjustments to the 5th wheel. Then onto Branson, MO for the Bluegrass Festival at Silver Dollar City.
Since fuel prices are down, we plan on traveling more this year. We are thinking of traveling up through the Dakotas, and over to Yellowstone NP. Of course, this is subject to change, depending on which way the wind is blowing!

Paradise South RV Resort - Black Dragon Pirate Ship Cruise
We drove over to Port Isabel and took the Black Dragon Pirate Cruise with Jerry and Charlene. We met up with Claude and Marie (from our trip to Eagle Nest) for lunch, who were staying on South Padre Island. The cruise took us under the South Padre Island Causeway, then into the Brownsville Ship Channel, Laguna Madre and returning through the Port Isabel Channel. The crew were dressed as pirates and were very entertaining. There were gun fights, tales of their exploits and plenty of booty (treasure).
